Buying guide: Vehicles & Transport

Pick by the job

Buyers rarely say “I need vehicles”. They say “we need to move guests round a resort”, or “the car park is dirty”, or “the airport apron is under snow”. Each job has its own group, and the table below shows where to start.

Group Typical range Suits Link
Golf carts & utility vehicles 3 to 14 seats, 48 V or 72 V electric, plus a 400 cc petrol 6-seater Resorts, campuses, golf clubs, estates Golf carts
Street sweepers & cleaning vehicles 1200 mm ride-on floor sweeper up to a 3000 L bin electric sweeper and a 10 m³ diesel truck Factories, malls, roads, depots Street sweepers
Snow sweepers 56 cm mini blower to a 25 HP roller brush and a tractor-mounted brush Airports, streets, car parks Snow sweepers
Service trucks & electric buses 12 m city bus; truck-mounted workshop Transit operators, fleets, mines Special vehicles
Workshop & rider equipment 3D wheel alignment system; carbon-shell motorcycle helmet Garages, dealers, rider shops Auto service

Power type is the second decision

Electric is the default for anything that runs indoors, in quiet places or on a predictable loop. Golf carts typically use 48 V lead-acid sets with a range of at least 90 km, and the 14-seat shuttle moves to 72 V. Ride-on sweepers run 2 to 8 hours per charge, depending on size, so match battery hours to your shift.

Petrol and diesel still win where charging is hard or the work is heavy. Snow clearing is the clearest case: the engines in our blowers range from a 6.5 HP mini unit to a 25 HP machine. A diesel vacuum street sweeper runs all day without a charge, which suits roads.

If you are choosing between power types for carts, our electric versus gas golf cart guide covers running costs and terrain in detail.

Match size to the site

  • People movers: count seats from peak guests, not average. A 4-seater at 3150 mm long turns easily, while the 8-seat 4640 mm body needs wider paths.
  • Sweepers: bin and tank size set how often the operator stops. A 90 L bin suits a small shop floor; a 3000 L bin suits a long road shift.
  • Snow gear: width and depth rate set how long a runway takes; slopes and drifts decide tracks versus wheels.

Voltage, charging and climate

Electric vehicles are only as practical as their charging. Lead-acid cart packs need a 7 to 9 hour overnight charge, so plan a dedicated socket and ventilation in the garage. Ride-on sweepers may accept several supply voltages, so the charger must match your mains. In hot places, park vehicles in shade, and in cold places, store batteries indoors, because capacity drops in the cold.

Sweepers and snow machines are often bought for seasonal peaks. Arrange spare brushes, filters and belts at the same time as the machines, so the first season does not stop for a part. Keep driver instructions short and in the local language, because most faults are routine misuse. Where one operator will drive several vehicle types, agree a single training day at handover rather than separate visits.

What to send for a quote

  • Job and site type, area or route length, and surface.
  • Quantity of each vehicle and seats or capacity wanted.
  • Power preference and the charging or fuel arrangement on site.
  • Mains voltage and frequency, climate, and slope or snow depth where relevant.
  • Logo, colour or body requirements, and delivery port.

For example, a resort might ask for 4-seater 48 V electric golf carts, a 3000 L electric street sweeper for the access roads and a tracked snow blower for the winter months. Send the full list in one inquiry, and each item is quoted against the same site details.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy electric or petrol vehicles for a resort or campus?

Electric carts are quiet, simple to run and fit short, repeated trips. Petrol carts such as our 400 cc off-road model suit rough ground and long days without a charging point. Our guide on electric versus gas golf carts explains the trade-off.

What battery voltages do these vehicles use?

Golf carts and shuttles in our range use 48 V to 72 V systems, sweepers 48 V to 72 V, and a city bus a 363 kWh pack. Some small units accept several supply voltages, so confirm yours at quotation.

Which sweeper do I need for a warehouse floor versus a street?

For indoor and yard floors choose a ride-on sweeper of about 1200 to 2500 mm width. For roads and municipal use choose a truck with a hopper of several hundred litres up to 10 m³.

Do snow sweepers work on deep snow?

A tracked remote-control blower clears 30 to 500 mm in our range. Deeper or wider areas call for a ride-on machine with a blower head or a brush attachment on your own tractor.

Can I order several vehicle types in one shipment?

Yes, you can combine them. List each vehicle with its voltage, quantity and delivery port in a single inquiry.
