Tracks and remote control

Tracks hold better than wheels on ice, wet snow and slopes. With remote control, the operator stands clear of the machine and steers it from a safe distance. That makes the tracked blower the right tool for slopes, steps and edges where a push blower would be risky.

Two widths

The machine comes with a working width of 620 mm or 1000 mm. The narrower one passes through gates and along paths. The wider one covers more ground and suits parks, car parks and wide pavements. Power is 9.8 to 11 kW depending on the version, with a 4 L or 5 L fuel tank.

Depth

The listed snow clearing thickness runs from 30 mm up to 500 mm. This is the deepest range of the compact blowers in our range, and the one to pick when drifts form.

Starting

Three start methods are listed: hand pull, electric start and remote start. Remote start means you can warm up the engine from indoors on a cold morning.

Weight

At 226 kg, it is heavy enough to grip but light enough to load onto a pickup or small trailer.

Choosing between the tracked and wheeled snow machines

This tracked machine sits between our small remote blower (MM-SBR56F) and the ride-on vehicle (MM-RSS4F). It is heavier than the small unit but still a one-person machine that works from a remote.

Tracks give better traction on slopes, steps and icy ground than wheels do, and they are the main reason to pick this model over the 56 cm machine. That wheeled blower is for driveways and flat, small areas, and it costs less to buy and run; this one is for larger areas, deeper snow and slopes. If you have large lots, long slopes or heavy snow, the ride-on blower or the roller-brush sweeper (MM-SSG25F) covers more area per hour.

The attachment (MM-BSAF) is for owners of tractors or loaders. Choose this tracked model for slopes, embankments, hillside villas and parks. Slope angle, snow depth and preferred width decide the choice.
