Overview
A mixer you choose the drive for
Some sites have power lines; others do not. This machine is available with a diesel engine or an electric motor, so you pick the drive that matches your site. The mixing power is 5.5 kW and the motor 4 kW. A separate 0.55 kW pump feeds water automatically, which keeps the water-to-cement ratio steady from batch to batch.
Batch size and cycle
The drum charges 320 L or 480 L, depending on the model, and each working cycle lasts 10 to 15 minutes. That is a realistic pace for a mixer in this class, and it fits a crew of three or four who feed sand, stone and cement. Discharge is automatic or manual, so you can tip into a barrow, a hopper or a form.
Drum speed and output
A drum of this type turns at a few revolutions a minute. Output follows from the batch size and the 10 to 15 minute cycle above.
Sizing the machine
The aggregate size of 40 to 60 mm allows normal concrete with gravel. At 700 kg and 260 by 160 by 260 cm, the mixer is a fixed or towed unit rather than a self-moving machine. If you need to move the mixer around the site, see our tracked mixer dumpers.
How it differs from our mobile track and truck mixers
This is a fixed-position drum mixer: it does not load itself or carry concrete across a site. That is its advantage and its limit. It is the lowest-cost mixer in our range, simple to maintain, and available with diesel or electric drive, so you can place it next to a materials pile and move concrete by barrow or pump. Our tracked and truck-mounted mixers cost more because they add loading and travel. Choose this one when you mix in one spot, for example at a house plot, a farm building or a block yard. Choose a self-propelled model when concrete has to travel far over rough ground. Electric drive is quiet and cheap to run where mains power is stable, while diesel keeps the mixer working at remote plots. Keep the drum clean after each shift, since hardened concrete is the main cause of blade wear.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get both diesel and electric?
You choose one drive per machine. The drive is configured to your power supply.
Is it self-moving?
No, it is a static or towed unit. Wheels or a trailer can be fitted on request.
How much concrete per day?
It depends on your crew and mix. A batch of 320 or 480 L every 10 to 15 minutes is the planning figure.
Does the 320 L charge give 320 L of concrete?
No. The charging figure is the volume of dry materials fed into the drum; finished concrete is a little less. Plan on about two thirds to three quarters of the charging volume per batch, then check on your site.
