Overview

The large self-loading mixer

This is the biggest self-loading mixer we list. It combines a loader, a batching and mixing drum and a truck in one chassis. The listed class is 6.5 m³, and the engine delivers 85 kW, also quoted as 115 hp. At 8,300 kg and 7,600 mm long, it is a serious machine that needs a proper haul road and a skilled driver.

When size pays back

Self-loading mixers save money when concrete volumes are high and no ready-mix plant is within reach. A single 6.5 m³ machine can replace a mixer, a loader and several laborers on a project that runs for months. If you pour a few cubic meters at a time, our smaller 1.0 and 1.5 m³ models cost less to run and move through tighter sites.

Specification

Drum geometry, axle layout and loading capacity are given in the quotation, along with the weighing and water-metering equipment for your concrete specification.

Shipping and set-up

At 4,180 mm high and 2,800 mm wide, the machine is over-dimensional for a standard container. Shipping is planned around the machine’s size, and our engineers can discuss training for operators and maintenance staff.

When the 6.5 m³ truck makes sense

Among our self-loading mixers, the 6.5 m³ truck is for the largest daily volumes. At 8,300 kg and 7,600 mm long, it is a road-going machine: it needs wide gates, firm ground and a driver comfortable with a truck-size vehicle. In return, it replaces several small trips and is the only model in the group that can serve a medium project with no ready-mix plant in reach. Smaller trucks, such as our 1.0 m³ and 1.5 m³ models, give better access and lower cost for farms and small contractors. Choose the large truck when haul distance and daily volume justify it, not just for the batch size. Fleet owners also like it because one driver replaces a loader, a batching crew and a transit mixer on a site that is a long way from any plant. Tires and drum blades are the main wear items to stock.
