Overview

The stick pack format

A stick pack is a long, narrow sachet used for single servings of coffee, sugar, drink mixes and medicine-like powders. This machine forms the stick from film, fills it and seals it, then cuts it to length.

One format, five product types

The specification includes powder, paste, granule, liquid and solid. A stick pack machine needs a different filler for each; an auger or cup for powder, a pump for liquid or paste, and a weigher for granules. We quote the filler that suits your product.

Frame sizes

Three frame configurations are listed, from 1320 x 950 x 1360 mm to 1780 x 1340 x 2100 mm, which correspond to different lane counts or filler setups. The final dimensions depend on your product. The machine weighs about 900 kg and runs on 220 V, 50 Hz, three-phase, so check that your supply matches before you order.

Speed

About 60 bags per minute is the stated speed. Multi-lane versions deliver more, and we quote them where your volume needs it.

Why pick it

Choose it for single-serve food and drink products in a narrow format. For larger bags up to a few kilograms, one of our other vertical machines is the correct tool. For only liquids in sachets, see our liquid sachet machines.

Single-serve sticks

A stick pack machine makes narrow, long sachets. They are popular for instant coffee, sugar, creamer, supplements and sweeteners. This unit runs at about 60 bags per minute and accepts powder, paste, granule, liquid and solid. It weighs about 900 kg and is available in three frame layouts with different footprints.

Our liquid sachet machines are sized for larger sachets and use different film shapes. The VFFS auger machines pack bags of 50 g and above. The stick format uses less film per gram and is neat for retail display.

Precision matters because each stick holds a small dose. Powder flow, static and temperature all change the dose. Multi-lane machines run several sticks at once from a wide film.
