Overview

A heavy-duty machine for larger bags

At 1200 kg this is the heaviest of our vertical machines, and it is built for higher loads: bags up to 10 kg are possible. The frame has to cope with the force of heavy product dropping into the bag, and with a speed of up to 80 bags per minute for the smaller sizes.

Granular products

The machine is listed for granules. Cheese is the typical example: parmesan, mozzarella and similar products are sticky and can clump, so the fill chute, the film and the seal must be matched to each. Bag formats include stand-up pouches, which are popular for shredded cheese because the bag can be resealed at home.

Reading the speed

The 80 bags per minute figure is the maximum, reached at small bag weights. A 10 kg bag will run far slower. The realistic rate depends on your bag size.

Power

It runs on 220 V with an electric drive. For a heavy machine like this, check that your plug and breaker rating suit; we send electrical data in advance.

Why this one

Pick it for bulk granular packs, particularly where the product is sticky or heavy and the bags need to stand up. For snacks and lightweight foods, a lighter machine in our range is cheaper and equally fast.

Grated and shredded foods

This machine weighs granule products such as shredded cheese, grain or sugar, forms the bag from film and seals it, at up to 80 bags a minute and 10 kg. Like the snack machine, it weighs about 1,200 kg and takes 220 V.

What sets it apart is how it handles product. Cheese shreds are sticky, oily and stay clumped, which blocks hoppers and chutes. Fats from the cheese can also prevent a good seal, so the seal jaws and film should be chosen for oily products. The snack machine is for dry, light and fragile products. The auger powder machine is for fine powders, not shreds.

If your product is chilled, such as fresh cheese, packing in a cooler room reduces sticking. Product, bag size and film decide the weigher type and coating.
