Overview
How it works
Reverse osmosis forces water through semi-permeable membranes at pressure, leaving most dissolved salts behind. Our brackish water system is built on a skid, so the pump, membranes, piping, instruments and controls are assembled and tested together before shipment. On site, you connect feed water, product water, drain and power.
What is on the skid
The standard equipment includes a 5 micron sediment prefilter, a stainless steel high-pressure pump, 4-inch TFC membranes in fiberglass (FRP) pressure vessels, stainless steel high-pressure fittings, a pressure protection switch, product and concentrate flow meters, a CIP (clean-in-place) connection and a PLC controller.
Design conditions
The system is designed for feed water with SDI below 3, turbidity below 1 NTU, iron below 0.05 mg/L and no free chlorine, at pH 3 to 11, 5 to 40 °C and an inlet pressure of 25 to 50 PSI. If your water falls outside these limits, we add pretreatment. Nominal salt rejection is above 97%.
Capacity and recovery
Output depends on feed salinity, water temperature, membrane number and recovery rate. We do not quote a single figure without a water analysis. Send a lab report of your source water and the daily volume you need to receive a model and pretreatment proposal.
Options and configuration
- Feed TDS and target product quality
- Membrane count and recovery rate
- Pretreatment (softener, carbon, antiscalant dosing)
- Concentrate disposal route
- Power supply (voltage and frequency)
Delivery and start-up
We assemble and test the skid in our factory and ship it ready to connect. Our engineers help with start-up and operator training by remote session or on site by arrangement.
Skid or container: how to choose
This system is a frame with every pipe, valve and pump already mounted, so a crew only has to connect feed, product, drain and power. It suits a small plant room, a clinic, a farm or a small factory where space is limited and the building already exists. Output is set by the number of 4-inch elements, so it grows in steps rather than continuously.
If you need around 10 m³/h or more, or the site has no building at all, our containerized plant is the better fit. It carries larger 8-inch elements, a bigger pump, electrical room and often its own air conditioning in a standard 20 ft container. The skid is the economical choice below that range. Whichever you choose, run a full water analysis first: silica, hardness and iron decide pretreatment more than the salt level does.

Frequently asked questions
What water data do you need to size the system?
We need a lab analysis with TDS, hardness, iron, silica, pH and SDI, plus your daily water demand. With this we choose membrane count, recovery rate and pretreatment.
Can it be installed without a dedicated building?
The skid is compact and needs a flat floor, power, feed and drain connections. It should be kept indoors or under a shelter. We can also supply a containerized version on request.
How often do membranes need cleaning or replacement?
This depends on feed water quality and pretreatment. The CIP connection makes cleaning simple, and we provide an operation manual with cleaning guidance. We can supply replacement membranes and filters.
Where should the skid be placed?
On a level, dry floor with a drain nearby and room on one side to pull a membrane out of its housing. Keep it out of direct sun and frost, and leave space for the feed tank and the product tank.
