Overview

How a PSA oxygen generator works

Compressed air is cleaned, dried and passed through a vessel filled with molecular sieve. The sieve holds nitrogen back while oxygen flows through. When the first vessel is full, the system switches to the second vessel and releases the nitrogen from the first, so the output keeps running without interruption. The result is a steady supply of oxygen at the purity and flow you size the system for.

Why on-site oxygen

Cylinders and liquid supply need transport, storage and handling. On-site generation means that oxygen is made when you need it, from air and electric power. It is most attractive where use is steady or where delivery is difficult or costly.

What we configure

Each project is sized to a flow and a purity. A higher purity needs a larger system for the same flow, so state your true requirement. The package can include the air compressor, dryer, filters, a buffer tank, a booster for higher outlet pressure and an oxygen analyzer.

Medical use

This page covers industrial oxygen equipment. Supplying oxygen for patients is a different job. It needs a medical-grade system design, monitoring, backup supply, and registration under your country’s rules. A medical project is handled separately with your engineers.

Oxygen for industry

This PSA generator supplies oxygen to industrial processes. Typical users are glass furnaces, metal cutting and welding shops, ozone generators, water treatment plants and fish farms. PSA oxygen is at 90–95% purity, which is enough for these uses and far cheaper than buying liquid oxygen or cylinders when consumption is steady.

Sizing follows from flow in cubic meters per hour, required purity and delivery pressure. Higher pressure or purity needs a larger air compressor and more power. If you fill cylinders, a booster raises pressure to cylinder level.

Compared with our medical oxygen systems, this model does not include the alarms, backup supply and analyzers used for patient care. Compared with the nitrogen generator, it separates oxygen instead of nitrogen from the same compressed air.
