Overview

What this bag is

An open-mouth sewn-bottom bag is the plain workhorse of dry bulk packing. The body is woven from flat polypropylene tape, which gives a bag that is strong for its weight and does not rot. The bottom is sewn shut, the top stays open for filling, and the bag is closed after filling by sewing or tying.

Why buyers choose woven PP

Woven bags handle rough loading, stacking and long transport better than paper sacks. They are reusable in many cases, and they can be printed with your brand. A liner or coating can be added where the contents need protection from moisture or fine dust.

Specification is set by the load

Strength and cost come from the fabric weight, the weave density, the stitch and the size. A bag for heavy fertilizer needs a different build from a bag for light feed. For that reason we do not offer one fixed specification. We build to your size, fill weight and filling method.

We inspect bags for size, stitch and print before packing. Quality points that matter most to your customers, such as stitch strength or color matching, can be checked on request.

Compared with our printing machines

This page is for the finished bag, which you buy to fill and ship. It is not the equipment that makes it. If you want to make your own bags, our woven-fabric flexo press prints the cloth before it is cut and sewn, while our narrow-web label press handles labels, films and tickets, not woven fabric.

Two specifications decide most of the bag’s performance: fabric weight and weave, and the bottom stitch. A heavier fabric and a double-fold bottom suit 40–50 kg of fertilizer or cement-type loads. A lighter fabric works for 10–25 kg of rice, flour or animal feed. If your goods are fine powders, specify a liner or a tighter weave, since powder sifts through an open weave.
