A small cold room you can assemble

This is a modular cold room: insulated wall and ceiling panels lock together to make a walk-in chamber. Because the panels are flat and light, they pass through ordinary doors, and a small crew can erect the room in a short time without special tools.

Size

This size is 2,180 x 2,580 mm in plan and 2,200 mm high on the outside, with a 700 x 2,000 mm clear door opening. That makes it practical for a kitchen, a shop back room or a corner of a small factory. Larger or smaller rooms are made by adjusting the number of panels.

Insulation

The panels are polyurethane sandwich panels with a core density of about 40 kg/m³. Panel thickness depends on whether you need chilled or frozen storage, because a freezer room needs thicker insulation than a chiller.

Refrigeration

The room is only half the system. The refrigeration unit, refrigerant, evaporator and controls must be matched to the product, the load, the ambient temperature and how often the door opens. The unit is selected once the stored product, target temperature and room location are known.

Floor

A floor panel or a concrete slab with a vapor barrier can be used. For a freezer room, floor insulation and frost protection are very important.

Installation

Build the room on a level, dry floor. Leave space around the condensing unit for airflow, and keep door seals clean. We send an assembly guide with the packing list so your crew knows the panel order.

A standard-size room for quick installation

This modular walk-in room is 2,180 x 2,580 x 2,200 mm outside, with a 700 x 2,000 mm door. The panels have a polyurethane core of about 40 kg/m³ and lock together on site. It suits a shop, restaurant, farm or small packhouse that needs one room for chilled goods, or for frozen goods with a stronger refrigeration unit.

The choice between chilled and frozen use is made by the refrigeration unit and panel thickness. Frozen storage needs thicker panels and a floor that does not freeze the ground underneath. If you are unsure, choose the thicker panel so the room can be changed later.
