Overview
The medium portable set
At 50 kVA (40 kW) and 72 A, this is a generator for a workshop, a clinic or a farm. It is small enough to move on wheels yet powerful enough to run several motors, a welding set or an air-conditioning load.
Mobility
The set is offered on wheels, as a trailer or as a mobile unit, so you can tow it or move it by hand around a site. For fixed standby, the same set is available as a silent canopy or open frame without wheels. Your choice depends on whether the machine stays in one place.
Power details
Output is three phase. Voltage options are 220, 230, 380 and 400 V and frequency is 50 or 60 Hz at 1500 or 1800 RPM. The rated current of 72 A is the three-phase current at 400 V. Engine and alternator models are chosen so that service and spares are available in the destination country.
Standby operation
An automatic transfer switch can be added. With it, the generator starts when the mains drops and the load is switched across, which suits shops, clinics and cold stores.
Options
Voltage, frequency, silent canopy or open frame, wheels or fixed base, ATS and fuel tank size can be selected. The set is tested under load in our factory before shipping.
Compared with the 20 kVA and 180 kVA sets
The 50 kVA / 40 kW set fills the middle of our range, and its distinctive feature is that it is made to move. Our 20 kVA set is usually installed in place; the 180 kVA set is for larger loads, heavier duty and large sites. This one is lighter, simpler and cheaper to run, the right size for a single building, and the compromise that a small contractor, a farm or a rental business can pick up with a pickup truck or small crane.
A rated current of 72 A on three phases means the output cable and breaker for the load side need to match. At 40 kW it can run an irrigation pump, a small workshop or a clinic’s essential circuits. Without the transfer switch the set is started and loaded by an operator. For a daily-run site that needs more than about 45 kW continuous, a 180 kVA set is the safer choice because a 50 kVA set run at its limit has shorter engine life.

Can it start automatically when the grid fails?
With an automatic transfer switch, yes. It is an option.
Can I run it on 60 Hz?
Yes. 60 Hz at 1800 RPM is available. Specify it when you order.
Which engine does it use?
The engine model is chosen for service availability in the destination country.
Can a 50 kVA set run my whole workshop?
It can if the simultaneous load is below about 32–36 kW and no single motor is very large. We recommend measuring or listing loads first, then comparing with the 40 kW rating.
