Overview

A full range in one family

Instead of one fixed rating, this family covers 20 to 250 kVA. You pick the rating from your load; the engine, alternator and canopy are matched to it. Single phase or three phase is available, so the same family serves a home that needs 20 kVA and a workshop that needs 250.

Quiet by design

A soundproof canopy is the main option. Low noise is the selling point of the range, and the canopy is what achieves it. Choose it when the set will sit near people.

Run time

The base fuel tank gives about 8 hours at the stated load, and a larger tank can be fitted for longer runs. The starter is 12 V DC electric start, and the control is by a digital controller.

Voltage, frequency and speed

Voltages from 220 V to 380 V, frequencies of 50 and 60 Hz and speeds of 1500 and 1800 RPM are listed, so the same family serves most countries.

Weight and size

Weight and dimensions depend on the rating you choose: a few hundred kilograms at the small end of the range, several tonnes at 250 kVA.

Why choose it

This is the broadest choice when you do not know your final rating. For a single large rating, our dedicated 500 kVA model or our 180 kVA mobile set may be easier to specify.

Options

Rating, phase, voltage, frequency, canopy, tank size, ATS and remote monitoring can be selected for each order. Each set is tested before shipment.

How to pick one size from the range

Start from the load, not from the nameplate. Add the running power of everything that will operate at once, then add the starting surge of the largest motor. A reliable rule is to size the set so that normal load sits at 60–80 percent of its prime rating, leaving margin for future equipment.

Single phase sets make sense for homes and small shops; three phase sets suit pumps, compressors and workshops. At the lower end of the range the set sits in a canopy that two people can handle with a pallet truck; at the upper end it is better placed with a forklift or small crane. Weight grows quickly with size, from a few hundred kilograms at 20 kVA to several tonnes at 250 kVA, so check lifting gear before ordering the larger models.
