4200 mm Aluminum Teardrop Camper Trailer

Overview

Small, light and easy to tow

Teardrop campers are popular because they tow behind ordinary vehicles. This model uses an aluminum alloy body with galvanized steel parts on a lightweight aluminium chassis, keeping weight down. Its 4200 mm length and 1840 mm height keep wind drag modest.

Suspension and wheels

Heavy-duty dual independent suspension and 195/70R tyres are specified. Independent suspension reduces the shock passed to the body on corrugated roads, which helps protect cabinets and fittings.

Cooking and sleeping

A slide-out stainless steel kitchen (304) gives you an outdoor cooking station. The camper sleeps two to four people, and carries a maximum payload of 700 kg.

Bathroom

The standard body has no bathroom. A bathroom is a custom request, subject to the layout.

How it differs from our other trailers

It is the lightest, simplest layout in our trailer range. For more space or an expandable layout choose the hybrid camper trailer; for 3300 kg payload choose the retro aluminum travel trailer.

Towing

If you are new to towing, a teardrop is a gentle first trailer. The loaded weight and tongue weight are supplied with the drawing, so you can compare them with your tow vehicle handbook before ordering. Hitch type, interior layout, options, color (white as standard) and graphics are set with the order.

Why choose the teardrop

The teardrop is the smallest, lightest and easiest-to-tow trailer we offer. Low body height cuts wind drag, so even a compact SUV can pull it, and the weight is low enough to push by hand into a garage. The aluminum alloy body on a lightweight chassis with dual independent suspension holds up to gravel roads and trails.

Compared with the 5000 mm travel trailer, it has no standing room inside; you sleep inside and cook outside at the rear, in a slide-out stainless kitchen. Compared with the fiberglass mini caravan, it is shorter, lower and lighter, with a bed instead of a dinette. Compared with the hybrid and the retro expedition trailer, it is a weekend and holiday trailer rather than a long-stay home. It sleeps two comfortably, with a rooftop tent or a separate tent for more. The 700 kg payload covers clothes, bedding and food. If you want a toilet, plan a portable unit, since the body has no bathroom.
