Overview

Milk where the animal stands

A fixed milking parlor is a large investment. This portable machine gives smaller herds a hygienic alternative: roll the trolley to the animal, attach the cluster, and milk straight into a closed stainless bucket. It also helps when an animal must be milked separately.

What is on the trolley

The vacuum pump, the pulsator, the vacuum gauge and the milk bucket are all fixed to a push frame. The bucket holds 30 L. The single-cow unit measures about 100 x 100 x 55 cm with its collection parts, which is small enough to move through a standard barn door.

Choosing the pump and the version

We build the machine in several versions. The single-cow unit uses a dry-vane pump, which needs no oil, while another single-cow unit uses an oil-lubricated rotary vane pump. A double-cow unit milks two animals at once with a dry pump, and a double-goat unit suits goats and sheep. Choose by the animals you milk and how many at a time.

Power

The motors are single-phase 230 V at 50 Hz. If your plug type or grid is different, the motor and plug are selected at the order stage.

Cleaning and care

A milking machine needs washing after every session and regular pump maintenance. A short manual is included, and we can list the wear parts, such as liners and pulsator seals, to stock.

Safe use

Stay with the animal during milking and follow the operating instructions.

What to specify

  • Animal type and number
  • Pump version
  • Plug and voltage
  • Spare liner and seal sets

Shipping

The trolley, pump and bucket ship assembled or in a few parts depending on the version. We pack the milk bucket and fittings with the machine so that nothing is lost, and we list all included parts in the quote.

How to choose between single, double and oil-pump versions

The single-cow version with a dry-vane pump is the simplest. A dry pump needs no oil and gives cleaner exhaust air, which is easier to maintain on a small farm. The oil-lubricated version runs cooler and lasts longer in daily use but needs oil level checks and a catch for oil mist. Choose the oil pump if you milk several animals every day.

The double-cow version milks two cows at once with two clusters, saving time at each session. The double goat or sheep set uses smaller clusters and different vacuum and pulsation, so do not use a cow cluster on small ruminants.

Our herringbone parlor (MM-HBP) is the next step when your herd outgrows trolley milking. The bucket set suits herds of about 1–15 animals. Check your power supply, because the motor needs 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase. For a different voltage, a matching motor option is selected.

Frequently asked questions

Can one machine milk goats and cows?

Clusters and pulsation settings differ by animal. We build separate versions for cows and for goats or sheep.

Does it need an air compressor or water supply?

No. It uses its own vacuum pump and an electric supply. You will need water for washing after milking.

What is the difference between the dry and the oil pump?

A dry-vane pump needs no oil. An oil-lubricated pump needs oil checks. Choose by how much maintenance you want to do.

How often should the liners be replaced?

Liners wear with use and should be changed on a schedule, commonly after a few thousand milkings, or sooner if they crack or harden. We supply spare liner sets with the machine.
