Hydraulic Cattle Crush with Built-In Scale

A steel cattle crush that holds the animal with a hydraulic squeeze, weighs it, and gives you safe access for hoof, horn and health work.

Overview

Weigh and treat in one place

Moving cattle between a scale and a separate crush costs time and stresses the animal. This machine combines both. The animal walks in, the gates lock, and a hydraulic squeeze holds it steady. The weight appears at once, and staff can work on hooves, horns or other care in safety.

Weighing

The weighing deck sits on four IP68-rated steel load cells. The weighing range is 1,500 kg. The structure can withstand a shock load of 4,000 kg, but that is a durability figure, not a working capacity, so do not plan to weigh above 1,500 kg. An RS232 module sends data to a computer or herd-management software, and auto-tare resets the scale between animals. The battery is stated to last about 90 hours, depending on use.

Frame and gates

The gates lock automatically in both directions, and the low chassis lets animals enter without a ramp. This helps with calmer animals and a quicker flow.

Verification and breed fit

Legal weighing, if you need the scale for trade, requires local verification, and the crush’s squeeze stroke must suit the breeds you keep. A tow bar or wheels can be specified for moving it between yards.

Where it is used

Feedlots, dairy farms, breeders and veterinary programs.

Safety

Staff must be trained to use the hydraulic squeeze, and the area around the crush must be clear during operation.

Choosing a configuration

  • Breed and size of animals
  • Mobile or fixed installation
  • Software connection through RS232
  • Hydraulic power source

Training and service

We provide an operating guide for the hydraulic squeeze and the weighing indicator. Wear items such as hoses and seals can be shipped as spares with the machine, so a minor fault does not stop your handling day.

How the hydraulic crush differs from other livestock equipment

This crush is a handling and weighing tool. It holds the animal by a hydraulic squeeze, weighs it on four IP68 load cells up to 1,500 kg and lets you work at the head, feet or flanks with less risk to you and to the animal. It suits ranches and farms that record weight regularly for feeding decisions, treatments or sales.

Our steel feed bunks (MM-FDB) are a feeding system and our herringbone parlor (MM-HBP) and mobile milking machine (MM-PMK01) are dairy equipment. The crush is the piece that fits at the end of an alley or race, where cattle line up and stop.

For a basic mechanical crush, no weight data is needed. Choose this one if you record animal weights or need hoof, horn and vet work done safely. Plan an approach race, a loading ramp and enough space to open the side gates. The weighing deck needs a level base, so we advise on foundation and battery or mains supply.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum weight it can weigh?

The weighing range is 1,500 kg. The 4,000 kg figure is the shock load it can withstand, not an additional weighing range.

Can it connect to herd software?

It has an RS232 output. The data format is checked against your software.

Is it certified for trade weighing?

Verification depends on your national rules. Your national rules decide what is required and possible.

How accurate is the scale?

Accuracy depends on a level base, clean load cells and calibration with known weights. Calibrate on site after installation and again if you move the crush.
