Overview

Made for working between rows

At 46 cm wide, this tiller is narrow enough to walk between the rows of a growing crop. That is where a full-size tractor cannot go. It is used for weeding, loosening soil around plants, trenching for fertilizer and, with the sowing unit, planting.

Chain-rail drive

A chain-rail running gear gives better traction than wheels in soft or loose soil and keeps the machine steady in a bed. With 7-9 HP, it moves 100 kg of machine and its tools across a plot without excess fuel use.

Attachments

The set includes a plough, a fertilizing and sowing unit and a three-tooth hoe, which cover most row crop tasks from opening a furrow to covering the seed. Working depth is adjustable from 10 to 30 cm.

Starting

Choose a manual recoil start for simplicity or an electric start for ease, particularly useful when different operators share the machine.

Operating tips

Walk at a steady pace and keep the machine centered in the aisle. Use the three-tooth hoe for weeds close to plants and the plough to earth up. Keep the chain rail clean and lightly lubricated. These small habits protect young crops and extend the life of the running gear on soft soil.

How the chain-rail model differs from other tillers

The chain-rail drive is what sets this machine apart. Tracks spread the 100 kg weight, so it grips on hillsides, narrow terraces and soft soil where a wheeled tiller slips.

Our 9 HP power tiller (MM-PT9A) weighs 80 kg and has wheels, which makes it easier to carry and cheaper to operate on flat gardens. The diesel two-wheel tractor tiller (MM-DRT35A) is far heavier at 170 kg and serves paddy and large dry fields. The gasoline rotary tiller and weeder (MM-RTW60A) at 130 kg is built for orchards and row work with a fixed cutting width.

Choose the chain-rail model if you work slopes, terraces or vegetable rows where traction and depth matter more than top speed. Slope, soil and crop decide the attachments.

Frequently asked questions

Can it sow corn?

Yes. The sowing unit is used for sowing, including corn planting.

Does it work in greenhouses?

It is listed for greenhouse and vegetable field use. Check your aisle width against the 46 cm machine width.

What working depth can I set?

10 to 30 cm.

How often should the chain rail be checked?

Inspect tension and links before each work day and after stony ground. Keep spare links and a lubricant with the machine so a worn section can be replaced in the field.
