Overview
Cutting is where fabric costs are decided
In a garment plant, fabric is the biggest cost. How it is cut, how tightly pieces are nested and how steadily the cutter runs all decide how much is wasted and how fast orders go out. An automatic cutter replaces hand cutting with a computer-guided blade that follows a digital marker, repeating the same cut accurately across a whole order.
How the system works
Fabric is spread on the cutting table and held down by vacuum, so it stays flat during cutting. The cutting head moves along the programmed path and cuts all pieces in the marker. Series cutting head speed reaches 8 m/min, but real speed depends on the material, the number of layers and the shape of the pieces, so we do not treat it as a production guarantee.
Sizes for different plants
A small workshop and a large factory need different machines. The entry cutter suits short runs and small factories, the mid-range machine handles daily production with moderate layers, and the high-volume cutter works through thick lay-ups all day. A model is recommended from your daily fabric consumption, layer count and table width.
Pay attention to the cutting height: a taller lay-up means fewer passes but needs a stronger vacuum and a sharper knife. Many buyers start with a mid-range machine and a manual spreading table, and add the automatic spreader when volume grows.
Software and spreading
A cutter is only as good as its marker. Nesting software arranges patterns to use the least fabric. An automatic spreader feeds layers neatly onto the table. These are quoted alongside the cutter when needed.
Scope
This product covers the cutting stage. Pattern design, sewing, pressing, inspection and packing are separate and can be quoted if you plan a full factory.
Support
Training, spare blades and installation support are available.
Ordering
Our engineers answer each inquiry with a written scope, drawings or a specification, and a plain list of what is included and what is not. The quote checklist below shows what we need to start.
Compared with the shoe assembly line
A fabric cutting system is a stand-alone machine that supplies cut pieces to the sewing floor. It can be added to a garment factory without changing the rest of the line. The shoe assembly conveyor, on the other hand, moves a shoe through many stations in a set rhythm and replaces the way the whole workshop is organized.

Frequently asked questions
Is the cutting speed guaranteed at 8 m/min?
No. That is a series maximum at the cutting head. Real speed depends on fabric, layers and cut shape; we discuss typical output for your work.
Can I use my current CAD files?
Often yes. We check file formats and software compatibility before the order.
Do you provide the spreading machine?
Spreaders and vacuum tables can be quoted with the cutter, matched to the table width.
How much does blade wear affect cutting quality?
A dull blade drags the fabric and gives rough edges, so blades are sharpened automatically during cutting and replaced on a schedule. Heavy fabrics like denim wear blades faster than knit jersey.
