A camper that rides on your pickup

A slide-in camper lets you keep one vehicle for work and for camping. This aluminum unit is built to sit in a pickup bed, and stainless gas rods lift the top section for set-up. Because aluminum is light, you keep more of the truck’s payload for gear and passengers.

Payload and sleeping space

The stated payload is 450–550 kg, and the camper sleeps two to four people. The pickup’s rated load must cover the camper, water, gas and people.

Built around your plan

Size, floor, kitchen, color and graphics are all customizable, and solar panels can be fitted to order. This suits rental operators who want a branded fleet as much as private owners who want a specific layout.

Fitting to your truck

Because the unit is customizable, the quickest route to an accurate quotation is a short brief: truck model, bed length, number of sleepers and whether you plan to add solar. A photo of the empty pickup bed with measurements helps check clearances for the wheel arches and tailgate. Floor plan, kitchen layout, battery and water options are set from the same brief.

Check three things on your truck: bed length, rated payload and the position of the rear axle. A camper that sits too far back overloads the rear suspension, so keep its center of gravity over or just ahead of the axle. Upgrade the springs if you plan to carry it for long periods.

Comparing the slide-in campers

We build three slide-in campers, and the right one depends on your pickup and your trip style. This aluminum model is the standard choice: a lightweight, waterproof box that sleeps two to four. It is the most flexible of the three.

The 2840 mm foldable camper is the compact option, with a pop-up folding canopy and a stated weight of 550 kg, made for mid-size pickups. The fiberglass bunk-bed camper is the family version, with four beds and a larger payload of 1,562 kg; the aluminum model is lighter and simpler, with fewer sleeping options. Against our trailer campers there is no towing, but you need a pickup. Choose the aluminum model when you want light weight and a body built to your design rather than a fixed layout.
