Overview

Self-loading changes the labor count

A static mixer needs two or three laborers to shovel sand and stone into the drum. A self-loading mixer picks up its own materials with a front arm, mixes them and discharges at the point of use. A single operator runs the process, which is a real saving on small crews and remote jobs.

What the numbers tell you

The drum charges 0.442 m³, the mixer is rated at 15 kW and the stated output is 2 m³ per hour. At 1,310 kg, the machine is light for a self-loader. Tracks keep ground pressure low, which allows work on soft farm land, wet clay or building plots that wheeled mixer trucks cannot reach.

Drum size, engine and water supply

The series covers a 350 to 500 L range, so the final drum size and engine are set in the quotation. Aggregate size and water supply also matter, since they affect mixing and loading. A water tank or pump can be added.

Where the 442 L fits between our track mixers

The 442 L machine sits above our 300 L tracked mixer and 300 L mixer dumper, which do not load themselves, and alongside the 350–500 L family. It is much lighter than the 1.0 and 1.5 m³ self-loading mixer trucks, which have four-wheel drive and carry larger batches. Compared with the 300 L machines, it loads itself, so one operator can charge, mix and place without a helper on the drum. Compared with the 350–500 L range, it is a single defined machine, so figures are easier to plan against.

Choose it where site access is limited and your pours are measured in a few cubic meters per day: small and medium jobs on soft ground, farm sites or inside compounds with narrow access. Larger concrete jobs should step up to a mixer truck. For consistency, plan your batch by shovel count and agree the water per batch with your engineer.
