Overview
What it is
This is the standard 240 liter wheeled waste bin. It has a molded HDPE body, a hinged lid and two wheels at the back, so one person can tilt it and pull it to the curb. It is the bin used by municipal collection systems in many countries for household and small commercial waste.
Built for the collection round
The shape is made for hard daily use: a rim that fits the lifting device of a collection truck, wheels that run on roads and a lid that closes against rain and animals. HDPE is tough, does not rust and can be molded in the colors used for waste sorting systems.
Weight limits
The empty weight is about 10.2 kg. The maximum load is 96 kg and the maximum total weight is 110 kg. Please keep within these limits, and note that some collection trucks have their own lifting limits.

Lifter compatibility
Bins must match the lifting device on your trucks. The lifter type used decides the rim and shape, which are set before production.
Ordering and shipping
The bins ship nested in each other, which saves a lot of space in the container. Quantity and destination decide the loading plan. Most buyers order by the pallet or container and mix colors in one load.
Quality
Bins are checked for lid fit, wheel rotation and body finish before packing. If your tender requires particular markings or test reports, ask what can be provided.
Choosing between the bin and the compactor station
A 240 L bin and a compactor station solve different problems. The bin is a container: you put waste in and a truck lifts it. For households, small shops, offices and schools, a row of these bins is cheaper, needs no power and can be moved anywhere.
The 1100 L compactor station (MM-RBC1100) is for places that produce a lot of waste, such as hotels, markets, supermarkets and apartment blocks. It presses waste into a standard 1100 L bin and reduces how often the bin needs to be emptied. It needs a three-phase supply and floor space, so it is a bigger decision.
Most projects use both: 240 L bins at the point of use, and larger bins or compactors at collection points.
