1100 L Roller-Bin Waste Compactor Station

A fixed electric compactor station that presses waste directly into a standard 1100 L wheeled bin, so that collection trucks can lift it as normal.

Model
MM-RBC1100
Machine type
Fixed electric waste compactor for 1100 L roller bins
Container
Standard 1100 L roller bin
  • Compacts into a standard 1100 L bin
  • Continuous feeding
  • Up to 10:1 compaction, depending on the waste
  • Three-phase 400 V, 3 kW
  • Fewer collections for the same waste

Overview

How it works

Waste is loaded into a hopper at the front. A hydraulic ram presses the waste down into a standard 1100 liter roller bin standing inside the machine. When the bin is full, you roll it out and replace it with an empty one. The full bin is then emptied by your normal waste truck, which needs no special equipment.

Why compaction pays

Loose waste takes up a lot of space, so bins are full after a short time. Compaction puts much more waste into the same bin, so the bin is collected less often and fewer bins are needed. The ratio reaches up to 10:1 under good conditions, but the real figure depends on what you throw away. Light dry waste compacts more than wet, dense or hard material.

Technical facts

The machine is 1,450 mm wide, 1,730 mm deep and 2,580 mm high, and it weighs about 1,130 kg. It runs on 400 V three-phase power, 50 Hz, with 3 kW. Noise is nominally 64 dB. Floor strength, ceiling height and door size on site must allow for these dimensions.

Options and configuration

  • Bin type and size, and the truck lifter used
  • Waste type, such as residual or recyclables
  • Full-bin signal and safety interlocks
  • Power supply at the site
  • Indoor or outdoor placing

Safety and site

Operators must follow the safety instructions, and the machine must be installed so that bins can be changed safely. We provide an installation drawing and a list of site requirements with the offer.

Documents

With the offer we send a layout drawing, a wiring diagram and operating instructions, so that your electrician and facility team can prepare the site before the machine arrives.

Maintenance and wear parts

A compactor station is a hydraulic machine, and its care is simple and routine. Check the hydraulic oil level and look for leaks at hoses and fittings every week. Change the oil and filter on the schedule in the manual, more often in dusty or hot sites.

Wear sits mainly at the ram and guide rails, the hoses and the seals. Keep a set of seals, a filter and a spare hose on site for quick repairs. Clean the ram area regularly, as spilled liquid and small debris slow it down and rust the steel.

The electrical side is a motor, contactors and a PLC or relay panel, plus the safety switches. Test the emergency stop and door interlock at each service; they protect the person using the machine. The 1100 L bin on the front is an ordinary wheeled bin, so you can replace it from your usual supplier.

Being indoors or under a roof helps. A sheltered, ventilated site, a drained floor and good lighting keep the station cleaner and the service easier.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need a special bin?

It uses a standard 1100 L roller bin.

Can it compact bottles and cans?

It can compact many dry materials, but the ratio and the suitable material depend on your waste. Send a description of what you want to put in.

What power does it need?

Three-phase 400 V at 50 Hz with neutral, 3 kW. If your supply is different, a suitable arrangement can be discussed.

What does the station need to run?

A three-phase 400 V supply with neutral and a level floor with room for the bin and for operators to work around it. A drain nearby helps with cleaning.
