Overview

Mounted on your tractor

This harvester attaches to a 30-70 HP tractor, so there is no separate engine to buy or service. At only 250 kg it does not overload the tractor’s hydraulics, and it can be taken off when not needed.

Row set-up

It works two or three rows with a row distance from 300 to 700 mm, and a working width of 1,200 mm. This covers most maize planting patterns. Rotation speed is 2,400 r/min.

What it does

The harvester snaps the ears from the stalks and collects them, leaving the stalks standing or chopped depending on the configuration.

Output

Output depends on travel speed, crop condition and field layout.

Setting up

Match the harvester’s row units to your planting rows so that every stalk enters a unit cleanly. Travel at a speed that suits crop height and moisture, and keep the snapping rolls adjusted. Mud and trash can block the units, so clear them at the end of each pass. Our team can send a set-up guide.

Specification

A specification sheet is approved before any order is placed, so that what we build matches what you expect.

Compared with the single-row and self-propelled harvesters

This mounted harvester works one to three rows at 1,200 mm width and 250 kg, driven by a 30–70 HP tractor. It suits small and mid-size farms that own a tractor and want to pick ears without buying a combine.

The single-row mini corn harvester (MM-SRC1A) is smaller, runs behind a 10–15 HP walking tractor and also crushes straw. The self-propelled 5-row and 6-row combines (MM-SCH5A and MM-LCH240A) strip and clean the grain themselves and need far more capital. The corn silage harvester (MM-CSH24A) chops the whole plant.

Pick this model if you want about two to three times the area per hour of the walking-tractor version without a new engine. Check that your tractor has enough lift capacity, a suitable PTO speed and a clear sight line to the header. Row spacing is 300–700 mm, so check how you plant.

Frequently asked questions

Which tractors fit?

Tractors of 30-70 HP are the stated match.

Does it also chop stalks?

Stalk handling depends on the configuration: stalks are left standing or chopped.

Can it harvest all maize varieties?

Row distance of 300-700 mm covers most; check your planting spacing against that range.
