Crawler Mobile Screening Plant

Self-propelled screening plants that sort material into sized products, working alone or behind a mobile crusher.

Model
MM-MSS
Machine type
Crawler mobile screening plant
Process position
Standalone screening, or the grading stage of a mobile crushing circuit
  • Crawler chassis moves on site
  • Works alone or behind a mobile crusher
  • Several models with different screen sizes
  • For aggregate, ore, soil and recycled concrete
  • Configured to your material and sizes

Overview

How it works

Material is loaded into a hopper and fed onto a vibrating screen. The screen has one or more decks with openings of different sizes. Fine material falls through, and larger pieces ride across the deck, so the plant sorts the feed into separate stockpiles using discharge conveyors. The plant runs on crawler tracks and moves between stockpiles and sites without a trailer.

Model range

We build several models with different screen areas, deck numbers and conveyor layouts. Capacity, screen mesh and transport dimensions are specific to each model, so figures from one model must not be applied to another. We select the model from your material and the product sizes you want.

Where it is used

Operators use mobile screens at quarries to grade crushed stone, at mines to separate ore sizes, and at recycling sites to clean and grade crushed concrete, soil and compost. At a crushing site, the screen can sit behind the crusher so oversize goes back for another pass.

What affects screening

Screening efficiency depends on moisture, clay content, particle shape, feed rate and screen cloth type. Wet or sticky material often needs special mesh or heated systems. How the material behaves decides the right screen media.

Specifying the plant

  • Material type, moisture and top size
  • Number of products and their sizes
  • Screen deck count and cloth type
  • Conveyor lengths and stockpile height
  • Engine or electric drive

Quotation and commissioning

We send a quotation with the model, deck configuration and options. Our engineers help with commissioning and operator training.

Which plant is the right fit for your circuit

A screening plant does not reduce rock; it sorts it. That makes it a different decision from our jaw and impact plants. If you only need to clean fill, grade sand, separate topsoil, or divide a crushed product into sizes, a standalone screen is cheaper and simpler. If you need to reduce lump size, you need a crusher first, and the screen then works behind it to grade the product and return oversize. Our other crawler plants combine crushing and screening on one chassis; this one is the choice when you already have a crusher or need only grading. Dry, free-flowing stone screens easily, while clay and wet sand blind the mesh and cut the output, so heated or self-cleaning media and a lower feed rate help in wet seasons. Mesh and screen media are the main wear items.

Frequently asked questions

Can the screen be connected to a mobile crusher?

Yes. It can take the product of our crawler jaw or impact plants and return oversize to the crusher in a closed circuit.

How many products can it make?

The number of products depends on the deck count and conveyor layout of the model chosen. We configure this against your needs.

What about wet or sticky material?

Moisture and clay content decide the answer. Different screen cloth or other measures can help, and sometimes a screen is not the right tool.

How do I move it between sites?

It drives itself onto a low-loader trailer and travels as one unit, with conveyors folded. Check the folded transport width and height against your road limits, and we give both figures per order.
