Overview

The lightest rig in our range

At 530 kg, this is the most portable drilling rig in our group. A crew can move it in a pickup or break it into parts and carry it by hand to a hillside or remote site. A diesel engine drives the hydraulic system, so it does not depend on a mains supply or on a large generator.

Small holes, long depth

The hole sizes are small: 50, 60, 75 and 100 mm. That is typical for exploration, sampling and narrow water boreholes. The listed depth of 600 m is the deepest in our drilling range, but depth in practice depends on the drill pipe, the hole diameter and the rock. The realistic depth for your ground conditions is stated in the quotation.

Configuration

Machine configuration, mast, feed system and engine rating are specified for the job. If the machine will mainly be used for core samples, coring accessories are specified too.

Who should choose it

It suits teams that move often across difficult terrain: exploration crews, small water-well contractors and NGOs drilling in remote areas. If you want large diameters above 100 mm, our 200 m and 300 m rigs are more suitable.

The lightest rig and what that means

At 530 kg this is the lightest rig in our group, small enough to be carried in parts by a few people to places a truck cannot reach. That is its advantage. It is meant for exploration, small boreholes and water wells in small diameters (50–100 mm), where moving a 3,000 kg rig is not practical. The trade-off is power and hole size: it cannot match our 200 m rigs at 37 kW for larger holes or fast penetration in hard rock. Choose this rig for remote sites, mountain areas and prospecting. If you drill many deep holes, step up to a heavier rig. Because the rods are light, a small crew can run it with little equipment, and it can sit on a pickup bed or a small trailer for the road.
