Overview

A mid-size cylinder for refill networks

The 15 kg cylinder sits between the household size and the large commercial cylinder. It suits families that cook a lot, small restaurants, canteens and workshops that want fewer refills without moving up to a heavy cylinder.

Construction

The body is steel, designed for liquefied petroleum gas at low pressure. We build it as a welded cylinder with the valve, foot ring and handle sized for safe lifting and stable standing.

Specifications

Water capacity, shell thickness, height, test pressure and valve connection depend on the rules of your country and on the filling equipment at your plant, so there is no single dimension sheet. The cylinder standard, valve connection type and height or diameter limits of your filling line set the specification, and a drawing is issued for approval before production begins.

Branding and finish

Shipping

We ship empty cylinders, loaded to make good use of container volume. Loading is planned around the port and unloading method.

If you already run a fleet of cylinders, a sample or its drawing lets us match height, base and neck thread so the new cylinders work with your racks, scales and filling heads without changes.

Where 15 kg sits between 12.5 kg and 45 kg

The 15 kg cylinder is the common mid-size for exchange and refill programs, where one family or small business refills often and the cylinder must still be carried by one person. Next to our 12.5 kg cylinder, it holds about a fifth more gas for a slightly higher shell weight; next to the 45 kg cylinder, it is far lighter to handle but needs more frequent exchanges.

Water capacity and wall thickness depend on the test standard and filling ratio in your market. Those two numbers decide how much gas can legally be filled, so they are set in the drawing before production. Check your own filling scale, valve and bulk rack against the proposal. If you serve both households and canteens, a 15 kg size often covers both with one cylinder type, simplifying stock. For heavier commercial users who burn a cylinder a day, the 45 kg size will usually reduce delivery costs.
