Overview

Electric digging, no exhaust

This excavator runs from a lithium battery, so there is no engine exhaust. That opens up jobs diesel machines cannot do: digging inside a building, working in a greenhouse, or operating in urban areas with noise and emission limits. With no exhaust it can dig in basements, warehouses and tunnels, provided the floor can carry the weight and the doorway is wide enough. A hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor provides smooth, quiet control.

Reach and size

At 1,500 kg, the machine digs to 2,140 mm and reaches 3,400 mm, with a maximum digging height of 2,830 mm. Travel speed is 3.5 km/h. The enclosed cab gives weather protection for the operator. The hydraulic pump, valve and cylinder are imported components.

Range of options

The series spans 7 to 14 kW and bucket sizes from 0.025 to 0.045 m³. These are choices within the series, not simultaneous ratings. Battery size, charging time and run time per charge depend on the configuration and the shift length.

How it differs from the 1 t electric models

This is the larger and more enclosed of our electric diggers. With 1,500 kg of weight, a 2,140 mm dig depth and a 3,400 mm reach, it works deeper and farther than the 1 t machines, which stop near 1,550 to 1,675 mm. The closed cab keeps the operator dry and cuts noise further, which matters in warehouses, tunnels, basements and cities with strict noise limits. The 1 t models are lighter and narrower, so they fit through tighter gates and cost less. Choose this one if your digs go beyond about 1.7 m, or if the operator will spend long shifts in all weather. Choose a 1 t machine for gardens and indoor access. With no exhaust, both stay usable in enclosed spaces where a diesel machine would not be allowed.
